As Andrew Lloyd Webber begins his latest search for his next production, St. Ives own impresarios are beginning a hunt for an Assistant Artistic Director.

“Our programme is getting busier and we need more hands to help” said SIYT Chair, Tim Drye - the company is looking for an Assistant to work alongside Founding Artistic Director, Jonathan Salt - “This is a great opportunity for someone to work with someone as experienced as Jonathan and help make a difference to a group of young people in St. Ives.”

With it’s national reputation and acclaimed productions at the Edinburgh Fringe, St Ives Youth Theatre is looking to increase it’s artistic team as it prepares for a busy summer.

“This role could offer someone in or completing a degree course the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a theatre but could also offer an experienced educator a new avenue. This person could be anyone from 18 to 80,“ added Jonathan Salt, “I’m excited by the prospect of expanding our creative team.”

The company is now in rehearsal for it’s Summer Production, “Vision” in July and already has plans for concert performances of the piece in Cambridge and has been approached to tour in the Autumn – the company’s first performances outside of St. Ives since it’s acclaimed Edinburgh Festival shows in 2005.
