St. Ives Youth Theatre were determined that visitors to 'The Spinney', Twigden's new homes development in Hinchingbrooke, Huntingdon, would not 'lose the plot' over the weekend of the 4th and 5th November!  To celebrate the launch of a new showhouse, Twigden laid on some sparkling offers on their 4 and 5 bedroomed houses, and visitors were also treated to some excellent entertainment courtesy of the young players. 

Rumour has it that King James 1 stayed at Hinchingbrooke House on his way to London for the near fateful opening of Parliament on 5th November 1605, and, drawing on their success at last year's Edinburgh Festival, seven young actors in full costume recreated the atmosphere of 'the gunpowder plot'.

Commenting on the event, Olga Hagan, Sales & Marketing Manager for Twigden Homes, said:  "This was an excellent opportunity for us to work with members of the local community.  The weekend was a lot of fun and was a success for everyone. We were able to create an innovative theme for 'The Spinney' which the St Ives Youth Theatre dramatised for us and this, in turn, attracted new purchasers to the development.  It was very challenging for these young people to stay in character over a two day period and they are to be congratulated on an excellent performance." 

Twigden Homes presented Phillip Cooke, Chairman of St. Ives Youth Theatre, which is a registered charity, with a cheque for £1,000 in recognition of their hard work.
